Because we can take it. That's why we don't.
We don't do things because they are easy. We choose to do things in the game not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because difficult goals will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because difficult challenges are the ones that we are willing to accept, ones we are unwilling to postpone, and ones which will make us stronger.

GalMil and CalMil have a fundamental difference. We both have golden statues, the problem is that the Gallente statue is painted gold, but is really bronze. Take away your numbers. and what do you have? Better LP. Take that away and what do you have? The same level as CalMil. If you're bored, you certainly have the tools to make it harder for you. You just don't have the "honor" to do so.
You want "hard"? Sit at the Eha/Innia gate with a 5k man alliance plus almost every Caldari FW corporation next door in Innia trying to take you down for three long months. That's what we did. It sharpened us and our resolve. We were forced to organize ourselves into the most brutally efficient occupancy warfare machine this game has ever seen. One that was able to quickly come to the aid of the Minmatar in Huola this summer (which was the largest meat grinder in this game this summer), and then immediately pivot to Okkamon half a universe away to take the Caldari's most heavily defended (and most defensible) system on our way to taking the entire warzone. That was hard.
We leave "easy" to those who wish to live outside the warzone, to those who "go it alone" because it's easier than interacting with "militia rabble", and to those who find "success" by joining the entrenched low sec powers instead of fighting them.
Anyways, enough propoganda. Right now the sides are extremely imbalanced, but we're still finding enough low sec content to make this game interesting. Hopefully the Caldari are able to secure some low sec niche that makes the game fun for them as well (as underdogs for now). In due time the pendulum may, or may not, swing the other way. The key is that you have fun pew'ing along the way.
